Shortly after completing the New York City Marathon on Nov. 1, Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki took off for Captiva Island in the Gulf of Mexico for an SI Swimsuit Issue photo shoot.
The issue, out this week, showcases Wozniacki and UFC star Ronda Rousey, who joined her on the island off the southwest coast of Florida, along with many other models. You can see a behind-the-scenes video and more photos from the shoot here.
Wozniacki, currently the WTA's No. 5 ranked player, said the shoot was especially relaxing after she completed the 26.2-mile marathon in 3:26:33.
"The sunsets are splendid, and there's something very calming about communing with dolphins. (And manatees, and the 200 species of birds that inhabit the area for much of the year)," her feature in the magazine reads.
In addition to enjoying the relaxed vibe of white beaches, calm waters and easy island life, Wozniack said she swapped tennis pointers with Rousey in exchange for some tips in Wushu (a Chinese martial art) from the MMA world's top female fighter.
