Yankees captain Derek Jeter announced before the season that this would be his last year in the major leagues. As a result, the shortstop has received plenty of attention on his farewell tour.
Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium will be next Thursday. For the commercial above, Gatorade decided to send him on a walk through the Bronx to say goodbye to some of his fans, with Frank Sinatra's "My Way" serving as the soundtrack.
The commercial succinctly sums up the reasons Jeter is beloved by so many MLB fans, even those who dislike the Yankees.
Who wouldn't happily watch an hour-long video of people being surprised by Derek Jeter?
