It's been a rough few months for Cam Newton. He was in a December car crash that left him with two transverse process fractures in his lower back. After going 12-4 in 2013, the Panthers finished the 2014 season under .500 and barely made the playoffs before a one-and-done exit. Then it was discovered that teammate Chris Ogbonnaya played an elaborate prank on him by pretending to be Nigerian all season even though he's from Texas. But all of that pales in comparison to Monday, when an elementary school student ripped him to shreds in the school paper.

Quick Rant

This really annoyed me. The MLB Players Association is livid because the Cubs are sending Kris Bryant to Triple-A for the first 10 games of the season. In doing this, it pushes Bryant's free agency back another season. The MLBPA feels this is unfair. You know what's unfair? The average salary of a MLB player in 2014 was $3.82 million while the median salary of an Army staff sergeant in 2014 was $31,521. I know Bryant has been one of the best players this spring training, but baseball players are rich beyond belief and nobody wants to hear your complaining. Rant over.

Ohio State Zings Michigan

Ohio State loves its dogs. It loves dogs so much that the school set up a fire hydrant outside its College of Veterinary Medicine since dogs like nothing more than a nice fire hydrant to relieve themselves. Especially if it looks like this.
