Matt Barnes responds to Rihanna, says he is ‘too grown to lie’
Matt Barnes has responded to Rihanna’s social media evisceration of him after the Hornets forward implied to TMZ that he and the pop star may be dating.
Barnes did not directly dispute Rihanna’s claims that she had never met the former Clipper on The Jim Rome Show, but he did tell the host that he had no interest in deceiving anyone, according to Dime Mag.
“You live and you learn. When you’re in a situation like this and, you know, you just learn. You just got to keep stuff to yourself obviously. But the way I’m putting it right now, I’m too grown to lie, you know what I mean. It is what it is, I’m going to let this blow by like everything else blows by.”

It seems like Barnes is sticking by his story, despite the Diamonds singer’s Instagram takedown last week.
Barnes’s former teammate Glen Davis is doing what he can to help his pal’s case as well, vocally siding with Barnes during appearances on ESPN and SI Now.
