Latest Aaron Rodgers Injury Update Doesn't Shift Steelers vs. Bears Odds for NFL Week 12

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers reportedly is pushing to play on Sunday despite a broken bone in his wrist, but he will not practice on Wednesday for the Steelers, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Oddsmakers set the Steelers as 2.5-point underdogs in the opening odds in their game against the Chicago Bears , but that has changed with Rodgers banged up. The spread for Sunday's game moved up to Pittsburgh +3 and has stayed there -- even with this latest update on his practice status.

If the former league MVP is unable to play, the Steelers would turn to veteran backup Mason Rudolph under center in Week 12, as he finished the team's win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.

Rudolph completed 75 percent of his passes for 127 yards and a score against Cincy, and the veteran has a lot of experience as a starter in his career, including some with the Steelers. He's 9-8-1 overall as a starter and 8-4-1 in 13 starts as a Steeler.

This season, Rodgers has led the Steelers to a 6-4 start while completing 66.4 percent of his passes for 1,969 yards 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Pittsburgh is atop the AFC North at the moment, but it has just a one-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bears enter Week 12 at 7-3 in the 2025 season, but they have won a ton of close games. Still, Chicago is 6-4 against the spread overall and 2-1 against the spread as a favorite.

Rodgers dominated the Bears during his time in Green Bay, and he's been "pushing to play" in this matchup. Ultimately, it'll be up to the Steelers' medical staff and Rodgers' pain tolerance to see if he can suit up against Chicago.
