The reigning Super Bowl Champions embark on their journey of defending the Lombardi Trophy by opening up the NFL Season with the first game of the year. Kansas City will host the Texans for a rematch of the AFC Divisional Playoffs in which the Chiefs stormed back from down 24 points. Including their season opener, Patrick Mahomes and company will play in primetime a total of five teams this year including a much-anticipated match-up against the Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 3. In addition to the Chiefs opponents in the AFC West, Kansas City will also play against teams from the AFC East and NFC South. According to WilliamHill, the Chiefs have the easiest home schedule in all of pro football.

  • The Chiefs’ RBs scored only five rushing TDs compared to 14 in 2018. Damien Williams led the team in rushing yards (498).
  • Travis Kelce gained over 1,000 yards in each of the past four seasons, while the best success came with Patrick Mahomes behind center in 2018 (103/1336/10) and 2019 (97/1229/5).
  • Over his first 30 games in the NFL, Mahomes had 33 completions over 40 yards (18 in 2019, which led the league) and 80 touchdowns.
  • Kansas City held WRs to a league-low 154 catches and 1,956 receiving yards (1st) with only a 56.6 percent catch rate.
