College football uniforms will feature an assortment of homages to the anniversary of 9/11 in the coming days.

College football uniforms will feature an assortment of homages to the anniversary of 9/11 in the coming days.

Houston will pay tribute during their game vs. BYU on Thursday, Sept. 11 with this logo on their helmets.

Virginia Tech, a school that has seen its own share of deadly violence on its campus in recent years, will feature these helmets for its game this weekend vs. East Carolina.

Division II Nebraska-Kearney plays Washburn University on Sept.11 and, like Virginia Tech, the team will wear these special Military Appreciation helmets.

And Maryland will wear these specially-designed uniforms from Under Armour that feature lyrics from the Star Spangled Banner for their matchup on Saturday vs. West Virginia.
