A junior college point guard who reportedly drew interest from multiple high-major programs has committed to Maryland, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Brantley signed with Marshall but was forced to sit out the 2013-14 season after failing to qualify academically. The 5-foot-11 guard then transferred to Odessa (Tex.) junior college.

The schools that previously extended scholarship offers to Brantley include Georgia Tech, Missouri and Virginia, according to the recruiting website Rivals.com. Brantley is the first player in the class of 2015 to commit to the Terrapins.

He will have three years of eligibility remaining starting next season.
