Michigan begins coaching search without a 'Michigan Man' in mind

Harbaugh played quarterback for four years at Michigan from 1983-1986. Miles was a Wolverine from 1974-1975, was an assistant coach at Michigan from 1980-1981 and returned to coach the offensive line from 1987-1994.

Interim Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett is leading the coaching search. Hackett took over as interim AD after former athletic director Dave Brandon resigned on Oct. 31.
