With eight minutes, 26 seconds remaining in the second half, Shannon Scott prepared to inbound the ball.
Lined up behind the three-point line with his hands raised over his head, Thompson caught his man off guard and streaked into the lane. Scott lobbed the ball near the rim and Thompson caught it with his right hand and flushed it.
The jam fired up Thompson's teammates on the bench and at least one fan. Thompson matched freshman D'Angelo Russell with a team-high 15 points in an 87-71 win.
