Report: Boston College, Georgia Tech to play in Ireland in 2016
Ireland has agreed to host its third college football game in five years in 2016 with an ACC game between Boston College and Georgia Tech, reports The Score in Ireland.
According to Ireland’s The Score, a deal is in place that will bring the Eagles and Yellow Jackets to Croke Park despite a problem this year that forced the Gaelic Athletic Association to move the All-Ireland semifinal replay to Limerick.
Penn State and UCF played in the Croke Park Classic on Aug. 30 to open their season, which caused controversy in Ireland, Sky Sports reported in August.

The All-Ireland competition is the biggest hurling event in Ireland each year.
A date has not yet been set for the 2016 game, according to The Score.
When contacted, Boston College told The Score that is is too early to comment or speculate on on specific dates or opponents.
In 2012, Notre Dame and Navy played in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, with the Fighting Irish beating the Midshipmen 50-10 to start what would be an undefeated regular season and a berth in the BCS National Championship.
