Kentucky defeated Tennessee, 66-48, Tuesday to move to 26-0 on the season, the best start in school history.

Kentucky ended the game on an 18-6 run. Devin Booker led all scorers with 18 off the bench and the Wildcats defense held its opponent under 50 points for the fifth time in conference play. Only two Vols scored in double figures.

The 26-0 start breaks the record set by the 1953-54 Wildcats team, which finished the season at 25-0. That team declined a trip to the NCAA tournament because its three top players were graduate students and would have been ineligible to play in the postseason.

Kentucky has five regular-season games remaining, three at home and two on the road.
