Wisconsin's Traevon Jackson not likely to play in Big Ten tournament
Wisconsin point guard Traevon Jackson is "unlikely" to play in the Big Ten tournament, team athletic trainer Henry Perez-Guerra told the Wisconsin State Journal.
Jackson broke his right foot on Jan. 11 and had to undergo surgery. He was given an expected recovery time of six weeks.

"The plan here with him is he’s going to be re-evaluated (today) and we're going to start to increase his activity over the next six days with our hope for him to be able to join us for practice on Monday," Perez-Guerra said. "It’s unlikely that he'll play in the Big Ten tournament — we haven’t totally ruled it out — but it’s pretty unlikely."
Jackson, a senior, was averaging 9.7 points, 2.9 assists and 1.7 rebounds before his injury. Sophomore guard Bronson Koenig has been starting at point guard in his absence.
The Big Ten tournament begins on Wednesday, but the Badgers do not play their first game until a quarterfinal matchup on Friday. Wisconsin holds the No. 1 seed in the tournament, which is being held at the United Center in Chicago.

No. 6 Wisconsin won the regular season conference title after finishing the year 28-3 overall and 16-2 in the Big Ten.
