Four-star shooting guard Kenny Williams committed to North Carolina on Saturday, giving the Tar Heels the second member of their 2015 recruiting class.

Williams, a 6'2", 165-pound guard from Chesterfield, Va. (Lloyd C Bird), was previously a VCU signee who asked to be released from his letter of intent after Rams coach Shaka Smart left for Texas. Virginia, Florida and Michigan were also contending for Williams' commitment.

Rivals.com ranks Williams as the No. 89 recruit in the national class of 2015.

"It's where I felt most comfortable," Williams said of UNC, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch. "I was really comfortable with the players and coaches and I felt like I was part of the team."

North Carolina offered Williams before he committed to VCU, and before Virginia and Michigan sent out their offers.

The Tar Heels, who went 26–12 last season before losing to eventual national runner-up Wisconsin in the Sweet 16, will return most of their lineup next season, including top four leading scorers Marcus Paige, Brice Johnson, Kennedy Meeks and Justin Jackson. Forward J.P. Tokotodeclared for the NBA draft following his junior season.

SI.com ranked North Carolina second in its way-too-early Top 25 for 2015–2016 last month.
