The media has picked TCU as the favorite to win the Big 12 this season, the conference announced Thursday.

The Horned Frogs received 32 of 42 first-place votes, while Baylor received the other 10. TCU and the Bears tied for the conference title last year after each finished 8–1 in Big 12 play.

In May, the Big 12 announced a new tiebreaker procedure for football that prioritizes head-to-head results. The 10-team conference does not have a championship game, and both TCU and Baylor were shut out of the inaugural College Football Playoff.

After finishing in third in 2014, Kansas State was picked to finish seventh by the media, the largest drop of any team in the conference.
