Missouri football head coach Gary Pinkel said quarterback Maty Mauk has been suspended indefinitely and freshman Drew Lock will remain the starting quarterback, reports ESPN's Sam Khan Jr.

Mauk, a redshirt junior, has started parts of the last two seasons for Missouri, and has completed 51.8 percent of his passes for 654 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions in 2015. His 145 yards on the ground are second-best on the team.

Mauk and offensive lineman Malik Cuellar were suspended before the team's game against South Carolina last week.

Lock completed 21-of-28 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers defeated South Carolina 24–10.

In Week 6, Lock is set to face a potent Florida Gators’ defense that helped limit Ole Miss to 10 points. Florida currently sits atop the SEC East with a 5–0 record.
