Pair of commitments propel TCU past Baylor for Big 12's top recruiting class

TCU powers to No. 1
Powered by a duo of commitments, TCU has launched to No. 1 in the Big 12 rankings, grabbing the lead over rival Baylor.
Camron Williams, a 6’3”, 190-pound athlete from Dallas, picked the Frogs over offers from a host of conference foes, citing his relationship with the coaching staff as the reason.

“Coach (Rusty) Burns and Coach (Zarnell) Fitch,” Williams said of the coaches who made an impact with him. “Both of these guys were very honest and upfront with me and I believe they genuinely want to see me succeed in every area of life.”
TCU also boosted its depth on the offensive line by snagging a verbal pledge from Lucas Niang, a 6’5”, 295-pound monster from New Canaan, Conn. Niang is the No. 1 rated prospect in his state.
TCU has 22 commits on its commitment list and boasts a 3.45-star average, which would be the school’s best average since the inception of Scout.
‘Moose’ tracks lead to OU
Oklahoma lost a four-star defensive line commit when Chris Daniels decommitted, but didn’t miss a beat by adding four-star defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe, a 6’4”, 266-pounder from Lawrence, Kan.
Bledsoe has earned the nickname “The Moose” for his style of play, which fits him perfectly.
He is “big and nimble,” which is the exact terminology also used to describe an actual moose.
Bledsoe was a Semper Fidelis All-American.
The most coveted visitors
Brandon Jones, S, Nacogdoches (Texas)—Jones, a five-star and Scout's No. 1 safety in the 2016 class, will officially visit Baylor this weekend. He's already visited Texas A&M, Texas and Arkansas and plans to announce his commitment on National Signing Day.
Brendan Ferns, OLB, St. Clairsville (Ohio)—West Virginia will use this weekend to host Ferns, who is Scout's No. 7 outside linebacker in the nation. The 6’3”, 225-pound Ferns is down to the Mountaineers and Penn State, which is considered the favorite entering the weekend.
