Santa Clara will hire former Arizona State coach Herb Sendek, according to multiplereports.

Sendek was fired last March after nine seasons with the Sun Devils that saw the basketball team go 159–137. He made two NCAA tournaments, and four NITs.

Santa Clara parted ways with coach Kerry Keating earlier this month after a nine-year run as head coach. The team went 11–20 and 7–11 in West Coast Conference play in 2015–16.
