Big Ten Commissioner on Harbaugh satellite camps: ‘It’s creative’

Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany said that Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh has not violated any rules with his satellite camps, and even called the strategy “creative,” reports Brian Hamilton of Sports Illustrated.
Last month, the Division I Council voted to restrict coaches to only holding camps on their own campuses. The move was largely the result of Harbaugh’s frequent use of satellite camps. The coach angered the SEC by scheduling spring practices in Florida.
The NCAA Board of Directors later decided to rescind the satellite camp ban.

Since the ban was lifted, it has been announced that Michigan will hold satellite camps for football prospects in American Samoa and Australia.
