Four-star quarterback prospect Mac Jones has flipped his commitment from Kentucky to Alabama, he announced Tuesday.

Jones is currently playing high school football in Jacksonville, Fla., and will be a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2017 recruiting class. Jones had offers from Ole Miss, Cal, Arizona State, Boston College and others.

“I would like to thank the University of Kentucky for recruiting me,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “However, an opportunity of a lifetime has presented itself to my family and me. I am happy to say I will continue my football and academic career at The University of Alabama. I am 100% committed, Roll Tide!”

Alabama currently has the third-ranked recruiting class for 2017, a group that includes fellow four-star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa committed to the Crimson Tide on May 2.
