Colorado WR Montana Lemonious-Craig Enters Transfer Portal

After a big spring game Saturday, Colorado wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig announced Sunday that he intends to enter the transfer portal as a junior.

“I am truly grateful for each and every person who has contributed to my college experience,” Lemonious-Craig wrote on Twitter. “I am particularly thankful for the sincere people I have had the pleasure of meeting during my time at the University of Colorado.”

Lemonious-Craig has spent the first three seasons of his college career with the Buffaloes, where he has appeared in 23 games and tallied 34 catches for 497 yards and five touchdowns. This past season was his best yet, catching a team-high 23 passes for 359 yards.

But his performance on Saturday seemed to be a sign of great things to come—just not for Colorado. He notched 154 receiving yards in the team’s annual spring game, including a 98-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Lemonious-Craig likely would have been a key starter on a team with high expectations now that Deion Sanders is the coach of the program. But barring a change of heart, the young wideout is on the move.
