Jedd Fisch’s Washington Football Staff Now Stacked With Four Sons of NFL Legends

He may be entering his fourth season as a full-time college football head coach, but Washington boss Jedd Fisch has serious NFL credentials.

Fisch has spent time with seven different NFL franchises, including the Jacksonville Jaguars as an offensive coordinator from 2013 to ’14. When Arizona hired him before the 2021 season, he was previously serving as the New England Patriots’ quarterbacks coach.

With the Huskies, Fisch is bringing his considerable network to bear. On Saturday, Washington named former Stanford linebacker Jake Lynch—the son of Hall of Fame defensive back and San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch—a defensive graduate assistant.

Lynch is the fourth son of an NFL great named to Fisch’s staff this offseason.

He joins defensive coordinator Stephen Belichick (son of former Patriots coach Bill Belichick), offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Brennan Carroll (son of former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll), and offensive analyst Luke Del Rio (son of former NFL coach Jack Del Rio).

The Huskies hired Fisch, 47, away from the Wildcats on Jan. 14 after former coach Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama.
