CINCINNATI — The Bearcats reached out to another candidate for the final scholarship spot in the 2024-25 season. Jon Rothstein reports that Cincinnati contacted Memphis transfer wing Jaykwon Walton.

Memphis transfer Jaykwon Walton has been contacted by the following teams, per his agent Chris Wash:

The 6-8 senior has one year of eligibility remaining after posting 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds on 37.5% shooting last season (28.7% from deep on four attempts per game).

Walton has a rough shot profile but gets to the rim consistently and has shown to be a strong passer who could help UC connect possessions as a reserve frontcourt player.
