Pinging The Portal: Cincinnati Reaches Out to More Big Men As Front Court Prepares For Big Changes

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Another Pinging The Portal rolls out as Cincinnati contacts more basketball talents across the country. UC is interested in UAB forward Christian Coleman and 247Sports's Dushawn London noted he held a Zoom meeting with the staff this week.
Coleman holds one more year of eligibility after notching 11.1 points per game and 7.1 rebounds on 53.3% shooting (no three-point shots the past two seasons) in 2024-25.
The 6-8, 205-pound forward brings a lot of energy around the rim but doesn't offer anything as an outside threat.
Transfer News: UAB transfer Chris Coleman completed a zoom with Cincinnati last night and is planning to meet with several others via zoom & visits following the dead period.

The seven-foot, 245-pound talent posted 5.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this past season. He holds one more season of eligibility after transferring from LSU to ASU in 2023.
Phillips is a strict paint presence who shot 57.3% from the floor in 2024-25 with no three-point attempts in his career.

The 6-5, 188-pound talent can impact the game in different ways and showed he can level up to a better league, transferring from St. Peters to Wichita last offseason. He holds one more season of eligibility.
