Former Expo Ellis Valentine Recreates Old Photo with Fan 37 Years Later

Major League Baseball returned to Montreal last weekend, and although it was just another set of spring training games for the Mets and the Blue Jays, it was an emotional weekend for a city that lost its baseball team a decade ago.

The city, along with some former Expos members, took part in a weekend long celebration.

Two middle-aged fans in particular got to meet their former idol, former Expos right fielder Ellis Valentine, and the result was two separate photos that sums up why sports is so great. The top photo is especially cool for recreating the same pose, some 37 years later.
