Georgia man runs 137 miles barefoot, breaks world record

Sunday August 10th, 2014

Andrew Snope, a 28-year-old athlete from Georgia, broke a world record Saturday after running 136.98 miles in 24 hours while barefoot.

Amazingly, his feet weren't all that worse for wear:

Snope, who's been running for about three years, told reporters he's never owned a pair of running shoes, even going as far as to leave gift certificates for free pairs unused. So remember that next time you're putting off exercising because you lack the latest athletic gear, you excuse-making wimp.
