The Kia Motors, Inc. team of the Philippine Basketball Association used its first round pick in Sunday's draft to select boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.
The Kia Motors, Inc. team of the Philippine Basketball Association used its first-round pick in Sunday's draft to select boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao is a massive star in his native country, so much so that he was elected to the country's House of Representatives, where he is currently in his third term.
Kia Motors is entering their first season in the PBA, and said it plans to appoint the champion, who has always dreamed of playing in the league in the basketball-crazed country, as a coach, according to GMA news.
