A high school football game was canceled in the third quarter on Friday night after a scuffle on the field turned into a bench-clearing brawl.

Garfield Heights was hosting Collinwood High when a player from Collinwood put a late hit on an opposing player. Garfield retaliated, and then both teams erupted into a massive brawl that stretched across the field. Officials canceled the game minutes later.

Before the fight, police were forced to break up a physical confrontation in the stands. According to Fox 8 in Cleveland, two spectators, including one football player, were taken to a nearby hospital and three people were arrested.
