Scott Fujita admits to violating NCAA rules by accepting free beer

Scott Fujita has not played football at Cal in over a dozen years, but the recent Todd Gurley suspension has given him a guilty conscience about some violations from back in those college days.
The former linebacker for the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs joked on Twitter that he had accepted free beer following games while at Berkeley, and he seems willing to accept the consequences.
We used to get free beer after games in Berkeley sometimes. Glad that didn't get us suspended. Or our 1 win revoked. That woulda sucked.

My bad! Lol. “@bestcoastin: @sfujita55 The fabric of cfb is now shattered, thanks to your free beer.”

Then I personally set Cal back 75 yrs “@tomtom101081: @sfujita55 just lost 12 scholarships & a 1 yr bowl ban for every free beer given out.”

Fujita retired from football after the the 2013 season, so he is outside of the long reach of the NCAA.
