Bills post wrong refund number, flood abuse hotline with calls

The Buffalo Bills posted the wrong telephone number for ticket refunds, meaning an Ohio domestic violence crisis hotline has been flooded with calls.

The Buffalo Bills sent an email with instructions for fans looking to get a refund on their tickets for the team's game against the New York Jets, which has been moved to Detroit due to snowstorms. Unfortunately, the Bills were off by one digit, meaning an Ohio domestic violence crisis hotline has been flooded with calls from ticketholders looking for their money back, according to the Buffalo News.

Crossroads Crisis Center's April Cacioppo told Sports Illustrated that the center, which has only two phone lines, has already received over 100 calls from Bills fans, and they have been unable to contact the team to ask them to rectify the situation.

Further complicating things is the fact that the ticket office is currently closed due to the snowstorm and will remain that way until Monday.

The team is offering full refunds to single game ticket holders and will credit the cost of the tickets towards the accounts of all season ticketholders unless they request a refund by Dec 2.
