NHL referee gets sick on ice, leaves game

Mike Leggo, one of four referees for tonight's Lightning-Penguins game, got sick on the ice and had to leave the game.

Mike Leggo, one of four referees for tonight's Lightning-Penguins game, got sick and threw up on the ice during the first period, according to multiple reporters.

The illness forced Leggo to leave the game, and the NHL later announced that he won't return, leaving just three refs for the rest of the game.

It's an unfortunate occurrence for Leggo, for sure. Here's to hoping he feels better soon.
