Derek Jeter, Aaron Rodgers among athletes at Met Gala

The Met Gala is generally considered fashion's biggest night, as models, designers and celebrities of all kinds gather in their finest duds to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.

Over the past few years the event has even drawn its fair share of athletes, and the 2015 Gala on Monday night was no different as former Yankees captain Derek Jeter appeared alongside girlfriend and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Hannah Davis.

Aaron Rodgers also appeared on the red carpet alongside Olivia Munn, and Dwyane Wade was finally able to attend the annual springtime event with wife Gabrielle Union, after the Heat failed to make the playoffs this season.

Retired NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugah was also in attendance with his wife, Scandal star Kerry Washington.

New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. walked the carpet solo in a purple, crushed velvet tuxedo coat.

Other athletes who have appeared at the chic event include Amar'eStoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and Tom Brady.
