Weekend Hot Clicks: Players Championship in action; Rose's shot
Hello all, Kiley Kmiec from Next Impulse Sports here. It's my first crack at this, so here's some background: I am a big fan of surfing and happy hours. Let's get into some Weekend Hot Clicks, shall we? You can follow me on Twitter HERE.
The Players Championship Is In Full Force
The Players Championship is currently going on in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and the biggest question to emerge from it so far is: was this woman taking a bathroom break in the background of this Tiger Woods interview?! Meanwhile, Matt Kuchar pulled off a one-handed backwards shot at TPC Sawgrass on Friday, which would make it in any golf trick shot video, Will MacKenzie made one of the craziest (and luckiest) pars you will ever see on the 17th, and Jonas Blixt launched his driver into the water after an errant shot ... and he still had 9 holes left in his round.
Derrick Rose hit an insane game-winning buzzer-beating three to give the Bulls a 99-96 victory over the Cavs to take a 2-1 lead in the series. You should also check out the game-winner from this courtside fan video, which was phenomenal. The buzzer beater was a very important step in the return to form for Derrick Rose, who is also now a meme after his perfect, stoic reaction to the shot. LeBron had a nasty poster dunk on Joakim Noah and proceeded to stare him down, leading to a technical foul. Following the game, LeBron said Joakim Noah went too far with his in-game trash talk. During his postgame interview with the media, LeBron James was asked by a reporter to throw Kyrie Irving under the bus ... while Kyrie was sitting right there. Over in Los Angeles, the Clippers blew out the Rockets by a score of 124-99 and Austin Rivers had the game of his career. At one point, Rivers drained a three and celebrated with James Harden’s signature ‘stirring’ celebration, while Chris Paul reminded Doc Rivers how proud he should be of his son after the game.
Lovely Lady of the Day
The LLOD for this weekend is none other than Temple cheerleader Amber, and for good reason. Amber is a member of the Temple University Diamond Game Dance team, and seems to be quite good at it. She is also a Miami Heat fan and her celebrity crush is Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks. (Click here for the full-sized gallery.)
