Current and former athletes have been paying tribute on social media to the men and women who died serving in the country's armed forces. 

Major league baseball has a full slate of games on Monday, and teams are wearing special uniforms in support. Tributes are taking place at stadiums across the country.

Athletes including Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Angels outfielder Mike Trout, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and U.S. women's national team member Abby Wambach are among those who have paid respects on Twitter.
