Paul Johnson channels McKayla Maroney when asked about his team

Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson channeled his inner McKayla Maroney on Tuesday.

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson isn't exactly known for being easy to please.

It's not a surprise, therefore, that he left Tuesday's Yellow Jackets preseason practice underwhelmed with his team. This can get awkward for reporters trying to get insight on anything positive, as WSB-TV in Atlanta found out.

Asked by a reporter what he was encouraged by in practice, Johnson scrunched his face and bobbed his head side-to-side as he struggled to think of one thing.

"I don't know,” he finally said. “Quaterback's a good player. Most days.”

The face Johnson makes when pondering the question bears a striking resemblance to another famously not impressed person—Olympic medalist McKayla Maroney, who's face on the medal stand after winning silver in 2012 was forever etched as a popular meme.

The resemblance is uncanny.
