Sporting KC’s Matt Besler dug a little deeper into the film and slipped a perfect Shooter McGavin quote into a postgame interview after his team played the Portland Timbers to a scoreless draw Wednesday night.

Besler may have taken the title for best use of a movie quote in a postgame interview away from A’s rookie Mark Canha, who expertly deployed a Bull Durham quote following his four RBI debut performance.
It has been a big week for McGavin, as the actor who played the villain, Christopher McDonald, also got a selfie with fellow golfing great Tiger Woods while at the U.S. Open.
