Cody Zeller is probably used to strangers confusing him for one of his older brothers who also play in the NBA, but that probably did not prepare him for the indignity of his own mother forgetting his birthday.

Zeller is taking the slight in stride, and his mother, Lori, was only off by seven days, so even if he hadn’t corrected her he would have gotten birthday greetings and gifts eventually.

The upside is she will probably never make the mistake again after Cody publicly called her out on Twitter, although that may have an impact on the quality of presents he receives going forward.
