Kids write letters of encouragement to Blair Walsh after missed FG

After missing a short field goal that would have won his team a playoff game, a first grade class in Minnesota wrote letters of encouragement to Vikings kicker Blair Walsh. Even though their teacher is a Seahawks fan.
Teacher Judie Offerdahl had her students write the letters to help teach them about empathy and plans to send them to Walsh.

• Players on the field, around the league react to missed kick
You’ve really got to watch the video on the Star-Tribune’s website, because these kids are the cutest.
“You are handsome,” one kid said.
“Everyone makes mistakes,” a few said.
One girl said she hopes the Vikings win the Super Bowl this year, which hopefully won’t upset Walsh too much.
