Robinson Chirinos made the terrible mistake of touching Adrian Beltre’s head.
Could this have been what led to the Rangers’ epic collapse on Wednesday night?
In the eighth inning against the Yankees, Adrian Beltre hit a solo homer to push Texas’s lead to 7–2. And then teammate Robinson Chirinos made the biggest mistake in baseball: he touched Beltre on the head.
The Yankees went on to score six runs in the ninth, capped by a Didi Gregorius walk-off homer. Lesson learned.
