Cubs fans get engaged in front of Wrigley ivy while posing with World Series trophy

What was the highlight of the week for these Cubs fans?

Things just keep getting better for Cubs fans.

Lindsay Fuhs’s father, Rick, has been a scoreboard operator and groundskeeper at Wrigley for 38 years, so she and her boyfriend, Christopher Leonard, got to pose for a few photos with the World Series trophy on Friday.

That’s pretty cool, but Christopher decided the moment could be even better.

Luckily, Lindsay also had some Cubs-inspired nail polish on her ring finger, which made for a pretty awesome photo.

“3 years ago, I told my dad it was take your daughter to work day so I could experience his job behind the scenes at Wrigley Field,” Lindsay wrote on Instagram. “I did this knowing my crush Christopher was at the game. We've had so many memories with the Cubs over the years. Yesterday Christopher proposed to me with the Commissioners trophy in hand. He knocked it out of the ballpark.”
