Everton’s manager’s Christmas tree is a totally normal color but fans lost their minds

This is Ronald Koeman’s first year at the helm of Everton, so he’s still got a few things to learn.

Lesson No. 1: Don’t let anyone see you endorse the color red.

When Koeman posted a photo of his Christmas tree all decked out in red, Everton fans were up in arms. Red is the color universally associated with Christmas. But, of course, it’s also the color of mortal rival Liverpool.

It only took nine minutes before Koeman attempted to mitigate the backlash by posting a photo of his other tree.
