Roy Williams is beloved by North Carolina fans mostly because of his two national championships, but this is another pretty good reason to like him. 

A UNC fan named Whitney Shankland named her dog Roy, after Williams, and he unfortunately passed away recently. After Williams learned of Roy’s passing, he reached out to Shankland with a touching letter. 

Hopefully fans can realize Williams’s good deed means a little more than the Tar Heels’ loss to Indiana a few weeks ago.
