Watch: Little kid becomes unexpected star of Red Wings game

Red Wings fans had plenty to cheer about during their 6–4 win over the Ducks, but the biggest roar of the night came during a break in the action in the third period, thanks to this little guy on the Jumbotron.

Fans responded so warmly to the kid that the team named him the honorary first star of the game.

It seems obvious that they should invite him back for another game. He could even be a new mascot. Call him Nicklas Kidstrom.
