Kyle Kuzma Ruthlessly Rips Spencer Dinwiddie As Twitter Beef Escalates

Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma did not hold back in his response to comments made by his former teammate Spencer Dinwiddie during FanDuel TV’s Run It Back on Wednesday.

In the segment, Dinwiddie rehashed the details of the social media beef with Kuzma to Michelle Beadle, which stems from when he was playing for the Mavericks in a 127–126 loss to the Wizards in January. The 30-year-old felt that Dallas’ loss to Washington was “unacceptable” and that the Wizards were “over there trying to get paid, not trying to play winning basketball.”

In response, Kuzma said Dallas does not play winning basketball. When Dinwiddie responded with some flavorful remarks on Wednesday that questioned Kuzma’s “priorities” and his skill level in the league, Kuzma unleashed a flurry of remarks. The 27-year-old referred to Dinwiddie as “delusional” before sharing a lengthy thread of tweets in his response to the social media beef that he is typically “unbothered” by.

“The wizards & I have so much real estate on Dins---tie Island. This guy got signed by a team 60ms and was traded before the following season was over,” Kuzma tweeted. “What in the world have you won in this league? Lol you’ve been bounced around like a basketball my boy.”

The 27-year-old also credited the Nets’ postseason appearance to the work of Kevin Durant, who was traded to the Suns, and Kyrie Irving, who was traded to the Mavericks.

“You can thank KD & Kyrie and the for spearheading 34 wins before the all star break (11-13 after the break) for your playoffs,” Kuzma tweeted.

Dinwiddie and Kuzma were former teammates in Washington before he was traded to the Mavericks halfway through the 2021–22 campaign. Now, Dinwiddie and the Nets (45–37) will face the 76ers (54–28) in the first round of the upcoming NBA playoffs. The Wizards, however, missed this year’s postseason.

And, Dinwiddie made sure to direct his Kuzma’s priorities as a reason why Washington is not still playing right now.

“In D.C. if you've got three max dudes—[Kristaps] Porzingis, Brad [Beal] and [Kyle] Kuz—how [do] you miss the playoffs? None of these things make sense, unless your priorities aren't in order," Dinwiddie said.
