Football is back. How do we know this? Well, players and coaches are on fields all over the country working through the first few days of training camp. 

But we also know this because Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is back standing up in front of cameras and saying very mundane things, all with the tone of someone who would rather be anywhere else than talking to members of the media. 

Belichick gave a classic Belichick answer Tuesday when he was asked about Lawrence Guy’s contract situation and if he’d be ready to go after ending his holdout. 

“It’s football season,” Belichick deadpanned with a shrug. “Most players play football in football season.”
