The Commanders ended the Ravens‘ NFL-record, 24-game preseason winning streak on Monday, as Washington defeated Baltimore 29–28 on a late-game field goal. The loss marked the first time since 2015 that the Ravens lost a game in preseason.

While the winning streak initially didn’t mean much, it gained popularity as Baltimore kept winning preseason games to extend the streak. While most fans don’t care about the results of preseason games, Ravens games became the exception as a result.

After the clocks at Washington’s FedExField officially hit zero, NFL fans and analysts reacted to some team finally ending Baltimore’s impressive streak, whether it was in celebration or in memoriam.

While most of the NFL world was not as impressed by the record, Ravens coach John Harbaugh stood by his team’s accomplishment.

“It’s one of these things you look at and you go, ‘Wow, how did that happen? How did something like that take place?’ It’s pretty remarkable. What are the odds?” Harbaugh said, via ESPN.

Baltimore will look to start a new streak in their final preseason game of the season vs. the Buccaneers on Saturday.
