Nebraska’s first half vs. Colorado was a grind, as the Cornhuskers’ offense struggled to get going while their defense held strong. The Buffaloes entered halftime with a 13–0 lead, but it could have been worse with the way Nebraska quarterback Jeff Sims played, turning it over three times and essentially giving Colorado 10 points alone.

As many watched Nebraska’s offense struggle in the early afternoon, they took to social media to express how difficult it was to watch. In many cases, fans and media members mentioned how hard it must be to root for a team that beats themselves as often as the Cornhuskers do.

Nebraska has had a rough past decade, as the Cornhuskers haven’t produced a winning season since 2016. By hiring Matt Rhule, Nebraska is hoping their luck can turn around, but it has not happened yet as they lost to Minnesota last week and have struggled to move the ball again this week.
