Commissioner, it's Robert Garrigus in Regards to Greg Norman

It's been a long, windy path for the Greg Norman-led LIV Golf Series. At one point it appeared many of the top players were set to make the jump, shortly after many voiced their allegiance to the PGA Tour and now, the first formal request has been submitted by a Tour player requesting a waiver to play in a LIV Golf event. That request comes from PGA Tour part-timer Robert Garrigus and will set an important precedent for the months ahead.
At the college level, a couple of noteworthy name, image and likeness deals were inked this past week. 16-yeat NBA veteran J.R. Smith is now the first male golf ambassador for Lululemon while John Daly II is following in his father's footsteps as a brand ambassador for ... Hooters.
And Jordan Spieth turned in one of the more puzzling performances in recent memory en route to his second consecutive Easter Sunday win. Spieth's most memorable shot from the week was an 18-inch miss at the end of his third round and was just part of a historically bad putting week that brings into question one of the longest-standing golf-isms.
What do you call Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen competing in a standalone event? One might think NFL Conference Championship weekend but on June 1, the four will compete in the next edition of 'The Match' as the event takes on a new form sans professional golfers.
