The Chicago Cubs have reportedly agreed to trade infielder Starlin Castro to the New York Yankees.
Infielder Brendan Ryan will be heading to Chicago along with Warren, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
On Tuesday, Yankees manager Joe Girardi called second base the team’s “most unsettled position.”
After hitting just .245 in 2013, Castro made his third All-Star team in 2014 with the Cubs, posting a .292 average with 14 home runs and 65 RBIs. He followed it up with a .265 showing at the plate in 2015.
