Wei-En Lin is having the kind of season that gets you noticed. On Monday the A's pitching prospect earned a section in our A's Pitcher Report. Two days later, he landed on Baseball America's newly released top-100 rankings at No. 93.

The left-hander has flown under the radar after signing with the A's out of Taoyuan, Taiwan in 2024 for a signing bonus of $1.35 million in the team's international signing class.

In his pro debut in 2025, he posted a 4-5 record with a 3.72 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP across 87 innings with Stockton, Lansing and Midland. Lin made 26 appearances (13 starts) at the age of just 19.

Now he's 20 and carving up Double-A hitters with four plus pitches and improved control. Through six starts, Lin holds a 1.61 ERA (3.05 FIP) with a 28.9% strikeout rate and a 7.9% walk rate.

Lin's ERA is third-best in the Texas League behind Seattle's Kade Anderson, who holds a 0.37 ERA at the age of 21. A year ago, Anderson was selected third overall in the 2025 MLB Draft, and currently ranks as the No. 9 prospect in MLB by Baseball America.

Baseball America had this to say about Lin: "Lin was the second-youngest pitcher in the Texas League on Opening Day and has cut through the typically hitter-friendly circuit with ease."

They also provided updated ratings for his pitches, with his fastball (55), curveball (55), slider (50) and changeup (55) all being plus offerings. His control is rated at a 60, an advanced mark for such a young prospect still finding his footing in the minors.

The A's landed four prospects overall on the list, with Leo De Vries topping the A's system — and nearly all of baseball — at No. 3. Behind him are three left-handed pitchers in Jamie Arnold (32), Gage Jump (34) and Lin (93).

The A's will likely slow-play his ascent up the system for now, given his age and lack of college experience. Still, he's checking all of the boxes in 2026. If his control and arsenal continue to develop at this rate, a 2027 debut isn't out of the question.

He could be joining De Vries on the team as 21-year-old top prospects on an A's team that is already flush with young talent, making this a team to watch out for in the near future.

For a prospect that flew under the radar when he signed not too long ago, he's become impossible to ignore.
